A new study published in Science Translational Medicine could help explain this difference. Federal regulators have delayed a major overhaul of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Rule, pushing back final action on the rule by a year. Researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst have shown that their nanoparticle-based vaccine can successfully prevent several aggressive cancers in mice, including melanoma, pancreatic cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer. Chronic fatigue syndrome leaves many people completely drained of energy and struggling to think clearly, and their symptoms often worsen after mental or physical exertion — a reaction known as post-exertional malaise. Researchers studying shortness of breath in people with chronic fatigue have now found that these patients are much more likely to experience dysfunctional breathing.
