Mid-October is a tease for Halloween fans – spooky season feels tantalisingly near, yet still just out of reach. Luckily, Hong Kong offers plenty to keep you busy until then, and remember that Monday is a public holiday.
Whether you are after a new piece of ink, a perfect pour-over, a night at the ballet or a deeper stretch, there is more than one way to fill the long weekend.
1. Hong Kong China International Tattoo Exhibition 2026
The Hong Kong China International Tattoo Exhibition 2026 will be hosted at Soho House in Sheung Wan from October 16 to 18, bringing together top tattooists from around the world for a three-day celebration of ink artistry.
Visitors can browse more than 60 tattoo booths to get new designs inked on the spot, while enjoying food, drink and live entertainment. A highlight of the event is the tattoo competition, which showcases impressive work from participating artists. Beyond the public-facing activities, the convention serves as an industry hub where tattoo artists can connect with traders for supplies, accessories and merchandise.
