Today, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. is the fall Carson City Prescription Drug Take Back, hosted by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Partnership Douglas County.
Unused prescription drugs can be dropped off at the following Carson City locations:
— Smith’s grocery store, 599 East William Street.
— Carson Tahoe Specialty Medical Center, 664 Fleischmann Way, look for table in vacant lot.
— FoodMaxx, 3489 US-50 East.
— Save Mart, 900 College Parkway.
Support staff will accept unused and expired prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, pet medications and needles. They will not accept liquid medications.
