Minneapolis, MN and Clearwater, FL — Fairview Health Services and hellocare.ai today announced an enterprise partnership to expand virtual care capabilities across Fairview’s inpatient environments, including a dedicated deployment designed to connect NICU patients, families, and care teams.
As part of the initiative, Fairview is deploying hellocare.ai Module on AI-Assisted Virtual Nursing and Telehealth and AI-Assisted Virtual Sitting through fixed intelligent room devices across inpatient settings. Fairview is also deploying hellocare.ai mobile carts to extend telehealth capabilities wherever virtual clinical support is needed.
Together, these technologies create a flexible enterprise virtual care infrastructure that enables remote clinicians to connect directly with patients and bedside teams, supports virtual nursing workflows, expands patient observation capabilities, and provides on-demand telehealth access throughout the hospital.
“Technology has the greatest impact when it makes care more accessible to our patients while supporting the care teams delivering it,” said Sameer Badlani, MD, Executive Vice President, Chief Digital & AI Officer and Chief New Markets Officer at Fairview. “By creating a scalable virtual care infrastructure across our inpatient environments, we can bring clinical expertise closer to the bedside and continue exploring new ways to use digital technology and AI to improve the care experience.”
Fairview is also deploying hellocare.ai Module on NICU – Family Visits, Baby Observation and Virtual Consults across its NICUs, extending the virtual care experience to some of the health system’s most vulnerable patients and their families.
The NICU solution enables authorized family members to securely connect with and see their baby remotely when they cannot physically be at the bedside, helping families remain connected throughout the NICU journey. The same platform enables virtual consultations, allowing specialists and other members of the care team to remotely connect with the NICU bedside and collaborate on patient care.
“For families with a baby in the NICU, staying connected is incredibly important,” said Darlene Spiegelberg, MAN, BSN, RN, Executive Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive and Acute Operations Officer at Fairview. “This technology gives us another way to bring families closer to their babies while also strengthening collaboration between bedside nurses, specialists, and the broader care team. Expanding our virtual care capabilities also gives our care teams additional tools to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients.”
hellocare.ai’s enterprise platform brings virtual nursing, telehealth, virtual sitting, AI-assisted patient observation, and specialized clinical workflows onto a unified technology platform designed to integrate into existing hospital operations.
“We are proud to partner with Fairview on an enterprise virtual care strategy that extends from the inpatient room to the NICU,” said Labinot Bytyqi, Founder and CEO of hellocare.ai. “Fairview is demonstrating how a unified virtual care platform can support clinicians, improve patient safety, and create meaningful connections between patients, families, and care teams. The NICU deployment is especially meaningful because technology can help families remain part of their baby’s journey even when they cannot physically be at the bedside.”
The enterprise deployment reflects Fairview’s continued investment in digital care models designed to support clinicians, improve patient and family experiences, and expand access to care across the health system.
