WASHINGTON (CNN Newsource/WKRC) — Pet food brand Northwest Naturals is recalling some of its products because they could be contaminated with salmonella and listeria, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The products recalled include Northwest Naturals’ Frozen Chicken Recipe, which is a cat food and protein topper for dogs, and its Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Recipe. The Frozen Chicken Recipe was sold in 2-pound bags and has a best-by date of Jan. 26, 2028, while the Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Recipe was sold in 6-pound bags and has a best-by date of Jan. 25, 2028.
Both products were sold nationwide in stores. Consumers should stop feeding the food to their pets and return the bags for a full refund.
There are currently no reported illnesses connected to the recall.
