PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A beloved local bakery in central Phoenix has closed its doors permanently as its owners look to focus on their health.
Dos Chris’ Bakery & Charcuterie Co., located at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road, will be closed starting Wednesday, according to the owners, a married couple both named Chris Barbara.
They said while trying to take care of the community, they neglected their own mental health. That led to their tough decision to close the bakery.
“We look forward to being a part of this community in a different capacity, and we don’t know what the future holds, but we know that we’ll be able to see every one of you out and about,” Dos Chris’ owners said in a statement. “So again, thank you, and thank you to our crew who is standing by our side and supporting us, and we truly thank them.”
The owners said anyone who has placed a pre-order or catering order will be contacted for a full refund.
Dos Chris’ opened in 2022 and featured a weekly rotating cupcake flavor menu, along with many other baked goods and charcuterie.
